About

The best things in life are free

Rainbow

Sunshine, hugs, children's laughter, rainbows, and most importantly, data from the IRS. You may not agree that the last thing is really all that great, but when it comes to grant-making and complying with the Pension Protection Act of 2006, you need that IRS data. Of course, much like rainbows and all other great things that are free, you have to go out and curate them. The IRS will always care about everything you do, but that caring doesn't extend to serving you data like it's breakfast in bed. If you want to use the data from the IRS, you need to know how to access and manipulate large quantities of data. Like love - it's free, but it's not easy.

That's where we come in. Grantr is a project developed by Good Done Great to make IRS data easily and freely accessible to grant making organizations who need it. We know how to present large quantities of information and how to make it easy for foundations to manage their data. We wanted to give something to the community that would save grant-makers money, money that could be better spent in their communities. That's why we built Grantr. The IRS is giving the data away, the least we could do is make it easy to access and manage.

We've built some great and useful features into Grantr, so sign up for a free account and make your due diligence easier on yourself. If you have any suggestions for improvements, we'd love to hear from you. And finally, if you want to sponsor Grantr so that we can continue to make new and useful tools for grant makers, please contact us and let us know how you would like to be a part of what we do.
